Rocks and Landscapes along the Coasts of the British Isles and Norway

I was inspired to write these pages after two spectacular voyages with Hurtigruten:

• The coastal voyage from Bergen to Kirkenes in early March 2020 on MS Nordnorge.
  

• A British Isles expedition from Dover, up the Irish Sea as far as the Outer Hebrides and back, with MS Maud in May 2022.

Thanks to the Expedition Teams on both ships for teaching us so much about so many different things!

The idea of this site is to give the interested, non-specialist reader some further information on the geology and landscapes you will see during these voyages, by pointing you to relevant sources of information.
