fluvial channel
Fluvial channel cut into overbank sediments. The left margin of the channel is stepped - one of its flatter portions forms the roof of the cave at left. The channel is filled with conglomerate. The overbank sediments show colour mottling, due to soil-forming processes (pedogenesis) on the flood plain. | |
