Description: These paleocurrent roses from Dolly Ridge near Schefferville, Quebec show the bimodal-bipolar nature of cross-bedding in the Wishart Formation of the Labrador Trough. Like the sandstones associated with the Superior-type of granular iron formations of the Masabi and Gogebic Ranges which also show bimodal paleocurrents they were probably deposited in an environment influenced by the tides. |
