 | This marl (a fine-grained calcareous
        mudstone) contains interesting structures.
        Each structure is a cube
          with hollow faces.
        These cubes are now made
of sediment. They are pseudomorphs replacing crystals
          of a soluble mineral.
        This mineral was halite.
What is the chemical composition of halite, and what does its presence
tell us about the conditions when this rock was formed? Scale:
is in cm and mm Grid reference: 914
