The central granite

Interbedded fine sandstones and siltstones thermally metamorphosed by the Central Granite. This is indicated by the cordierite spots in the finer grained horizons. (Cordierite is a mineral which develops as a result of contact metamorphism of Mg-Al rich argillaceous sediments).
