close-up annotated image

View south along the coast showing very large-scale cross-bedding in sandstones. These cross-beds were formed during the migration of large sand dunes in a river system. Current directions towards both left and right are indicated. At the base of the cliff, finer grained parallel-bedded sandstones are seen.

Scale: Figures on cliff top.
